» OLIVE (Olea europaea L.)

- characteristics of autochthonous and introduced cultivars and rootstocks are researched with purpose of olive assortment determination for different olive growing subregions

- specific genotypes of some cultivars are separated from natural population with purpose of genetic variability maintenance and original material obtaining for olive breeding programmes

- different methods of olive tree regeneration are researched with purpose of existing olive orchards revitalisation

- influence of different pomocultural and agricultural operations to tree ruitfulness is researched

- Ü different methods of vegetative propagation are researched with accent to finding out the possibilities of propagation of cultivars with low propagative potential


» ALMOND (Amygdalus communis L.)

- selection of autochthonous, especially lateblooming almonds from natural population is done

- characteristics of autochthonous and introduced cultivars are researched with purpose of almond assortment determination for agriecological conditions of Croatian Mediterranean

- characteristics of rootstocks for almonds are researched with purpose of finding out as adaptable rootstocks to pedoclimatic conditions of this area
